The Brief

Legal advice is everywhere now. AI that sounds confident but can’t be held accountable. Influencers giving tax tips between sponsorships. Reddit threads that feel like answers. The problem isn’t a shortage of help; it’s that most of it is wrong, and the consequences are real.

LegalZoom needed a campaign that cut through that noise with clarity and a little humor, extending their "Life is more legal than you think" platform into a specific cultural moment: a world where bad legal advice has never been easier to find or harder to identify.

The Role

Producer, agency side, running the full production from pre-bid through final delivery.

Four :30 spots shot in three days for just under $1.12 million, covering four LegalZoom business lines: business formation, wills and trusts, DIY legal compliance, and estate planning. :15 and :06 cutdowns on top of that. A demanding schedule, delivered clean.

Managed the relationship with production company ArtClass and director Ryan Ebner from bid through wrap. Post ran across editorial with Katie Cali at The Den, VFX and finishing at Overture Studios, and audio record and mix at Casa Azul. The campaign’s audio mnemonic was built separately with Beacon Sound. Music through Epidemic Sound.

The Work

"Wrong Hands" dramatizes the literal wrong hands in everyday legal moments: an ex’s hands rifling through an estate, a DIYer botching a filing, AI generating advice that fits no one’s situation. Dry, direct, confident, in a category that usually defaults to corporate reassurance or legal fear tactics.
